National Lottery plc Becomes Full Member of European Lotteries Association

Sibenek, Croatia – June, 2023

Sibenek, Croatia, the European Lotteries (EL) Congress came to an end this week with the General Assembly, which amongst other things unanimously approved National Lottery plc, the newly appointed operator of the national lottery of Malta, as a new full member of the association.

This was the first EL Congress for National Lottery plc after having commenced operations in July 2022. The General Assembly of EL proposed the acceptance of National Lottery plc as a full member after the operator fulfilled all the pre-requisites of membership. The proposal was accepted unanimously by the members of the EL association present at the General Assembly, giving National Lottery plc the right to all the benefits of membership.

“Full membership in EL marks the end of what has been a watershed year for National Lottery plc and the start of a new and exciting chapter for the company,”

We have been operating the national lottery of Malta for just under a year and in this timeframe have worked incessantly to provide the local market with an innovative lottery service embracing the core values of EL, ensuring that our service is provided in a safe environment in full respect of the responsible gaming measures adopted by members of EL.”
