The apex event for World Lotteries took place in Paris last week as more than 100 associated lotteries attended the World Lottery Summit 2024 organised by the World Lottery Association (WLA). The summit featured a comprehensive business program, an extensive social program and a trade show showcasing the latest in supplier products, services and solutions. The Summit is considered the largest lottery event in the industry. With the theme, ‘Impacting society together’, the summit explored three important pillars, namely the Impact of lottery and sports betting operators’ know how; Society at the hear of lottery and sports betting operators’ values and Together we are stronger.

Following the successful certification in both Responsible Gaming (RG) and ISO/IEC 27001:2022, National Lottery plc was officially inducted as a World Lottery Association full member through a unanimous vote of the General Assembly. Recognized professionals and key players in the field, including National Lottery’s Chief Executive Officer – Johann Schembri, Chief Commercial Officer – Franco De Gabriele and Group Chief Gaming Officer – Christian Gernert attended the event.
