Celebrating Malta Sports Achievements
The 65th edition of the Għażliet Sportivi Nazzjonali, organized by the Malta Sports Journalists Association (MSJA), was held on Saturday, 1st March at the Westin Dragonara Resort, St. Julian’s. The event celebrated the achievements of Malta’s sports community, with awards presented across various categories.

Franco de Gabriele, Chief Commercial Officer & Executive Director at IZIGROUP, attended the ceremony and presented the award for Official of the Year to Karl Izzo, President of the Aquatic Sports Association of Malta, highlighting our commitment to fostering sports excellence in Malta.
The jury for this year’s edition included esteemed members such as Mario Bonnici, Clinton Buhagiar, Charles Camenzuli, Valhmor Camilleri, Chris Cassar, Lorraine Cunningham, Chris Falzon, Simon Farrugia, and Mario Saliba. The People’s Choice Award was determined entirely by public SMS voting, ensuring that the voice of the community was heard.
