The Technical Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering technical initiatives across the Group’s digital platforms. The role bridges Technical and Non-Technical functions such as Product, Development, QA, Infrastructure, Compliance, Payments, Marketing, Customer Support and external vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the required quality standards.
The successful candidate will manage multiple concurrent projects involving platform development, third-party integrations, website enhancements, regulatory initiatives, mobile applications, payment solutions, CRM, operational improvements and other critical organizational initiatives while ensuring effective communication between business and technical stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of multiple technical projects across the Group’s digital platforms.
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, milestones, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Product, Development, QA, Infrastructure, Compliance, Marketing, Customer Support, and external vendors.
- Manage project schedules, dependencies, risks, issues, and change requests throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure technical requirements and business objectives are clearly documented, understood, and aligned before development begins.
- Adopt the right project methodology and planning strategies to ensure the right coordination, monitoring and reporting strategies.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives where applicable.
- Track project progress using appropriate project management tools and provide regular status reports to senior management.
- Coordinate software releases, user acceptance testing (UAT), production deployments, and post-release reviews.
- Work closely with Software, Data and Solution Architects and Technical Leads to ensure projects are delivered according to agreed technical standards and best practices.
- Manage third-party technology providers and coordinate external integrations.
- Identify delivery risks proactively and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project delays.
- Ensure project documentation, technical specifications, meeting minutes, and decision logs are maintained accurately.
- Support continuous improvement of project delivery processes, governance, and methodologies.
- Assist with prioritization of technical initiatives in line with business objectives including product roadmap and company strategy.
- Monitor project budgets and resource utilization where applicable.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration across all stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Be able to provide options and strategies to unblock execution blockers whilst also defining and executing against pre-defined contingency plans.
- Maintain continuous status of projects and initiatives for Management Reporting.
- Partake in Management Meetings to provide regular updates and communicate any required decisions that help with shaping effectiveness of execution.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience managing software development or technical projects.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery methodologies.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced technology environment.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience using project management tools such as Jira, Linear, Monday.com, ClickUp, or similar.
- Excellent organisational, planning, and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to risk management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working with APIs, system integrations, and third-party technology providers.
- Experience within iGaming B2C or B2B, Sports Betting, Lottery, FinTech, or other highly regulated digital industries is considered an advantage.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and release management is desirable.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM, Scrum Master, or equivalent are considered an asset.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while managing competing priorities.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
